Well this must be the season to learn.

This month Danielle got her learner’s licence for the car. She is a little worried about the combination of small roads, big cars and not having driven her before.

Also Russell is learn to ride a motorcycle. So this month is all about LEARNING!

Danielle has found a new love and something she is really good at!
The house is now coming down with cake decor books and funny shaped cake pans and icing. Her most recent cake was the beautiful duck ordered to celebrate a friend’s teenage daughter’s birthday. You will also see the teddy bear and a cake she made for a two year olds party with 50 guests.

Well here in NI it is really doing an impersonation of an Indian Summer. Rain, rain rain.

The kids are doing well. Samuel is entertaining us with his pronunciation of words. You have bock for bike and clock is an interesting word.
He is also not just learning English but seems quite well versed in cow. Have a look at this quick clip.

Back in the USSR...

...okay so not really the USSR- but we are back online.

It was Christmas or may be the New Year since we really last blogged- that’s what a new bundle of joy (ABigail) will do to you. But here we are and we are going to try and keep up to date with news and picks.

We are just back from a great trip to beautiful Scotland. Danielle got to see the land she had often heard about and photos will be uploaded ASAP. So check back soon.

New Year...New Home

Staying with the theme of turning our lives upside down we not only had a new baby but have just moved house. We are renting a old farmhouse outside Ballymena aptly called Burnside. Compared with the constant traffic noise and busyness of 156 it is a culture shock. It is great though to let Samuel out in his Welly boots and see him splash in early puddle he can find.

The week after we moved in the temperatures dropped and we got a grand covering of snow. See the pictures below. Big thanks to Mervyn and Gwen our landlords for all their help, kindness and company.
